ik lots of people have talked about it but how have we gotten to a place where we’ve decided gender essentialism is feminist and queer liberation actually and that misogynistic language and behavior is cute/funny/justified. is this what happens when people base their praxis on internet discourse and media consumption instead of being a person with relationships to others in the world
saw a post that was like “wow this show has no misogyny! this is true bc none of the female characters are mean to each other!” and I was just like. please god
